NJ & NY UCR (Unified Carrier Registration)

The UCR is an Agreement that will govern the collection and distribution of registration and financial responsibility information and fees paid by for-hire, private motor carriers, brokers, freight forwarders and leasing companies. This program replaces the Single State Registration System (SSRS), a state-administered registration program. The UCR is required at time of initial DOT/MC application and needs to be renewed annually. The penalty for not applying and paying your UCR fees is $300.
